Vice President and Senate President Victoria Villarruel crossed swords with Nicolás Márquez, biographer of President Javier Milei, who criticized her over the Senate's budget. Márquez had responded to a tweet containing a statement from Villarruel in which she claimed the upper chamber's finances would go into the red if the Executive Branch did not update its allocations for its operation. "Let him stop hiring marginal slum-dwellers with salaries far above what these scoundrels are worth," Márquez wrote on his X account. To which Villarruel responded: "This strangely blond gentleman doesn't stop crying even at Christmas. He must have such a sad existence. I pray for him and for all those who suffer and make others suffer." "I pray for those who, for a handout, insult, slander, and fill social networks with hate."
